Account information

If you sign in (for example with Apple or Google), we may collect your name, email address, and account identifiers needed to authenticate you and sync your data.

Profile and health-related inputs

To personalize goals and plans, you may provide details such as age, gender, height, weight, activity level, dietary preferences, allergies, restrictions, and target goals. This information is used to estimate calorie and macro targets and to tailor meal planning features.

Nutrition and activity data

When you use the Service, we may process meal logs, calories and macros, water intake, weight entries, exercise minutes, reminders, and related progress information. Depending on the feature, this may include:

• Meal Scan: photos of meals for AI food identification and nutrition estimates
• Voice Log: audio or transcribed descriptions of what you ate
• Barcode Scan: barcode values and packaged-food nutrition data (including lookups such as Open Food Facts)
• Log Food: foods and meals you search and save from our database

Usage and device data

We may collect app usage information (such as feature use and logging activity), device type, operating system, crash and diagnostic logs, and similar technical data to improve reliability and security.

Purchases

If you subscribe to Caloriq Premium, purchase and subscription status are handled by the Apple App Store and/or Google Play. We receive confirmation of entitlement status; we do not store your full payment card details.

• Provide meal tracking, AI analysis, calorie and macro goals, meal planning, hydration and progress features
• Personalize plans, reminders, and AI meal suggestions you opt into
• Sync and store account data for signed-in users
• Manage free and Premium subscriptions
• Improve the Service, fix bugs, and prevent abuse
• Respond to support requests and meet legal obligations

Meal photos, voice descriptions, and related text may be sent to third-party AI providers to identify foods and estimate nutrition. We use this processing only to provide the Service. Do not upload images or speak content you are not authorized to process. AI estimates may be imperfect — always review results before relying on them.

When you create or sign in to an account, your profile, logs, and related data may be stored on our cloud infrastructure (for example via services such as Firebase) so they can sync across devices and support backup features.

Camera, microphone, and notification permissions are controlled in your device settings. You can deny or revoke them at any time; some features (Meal Scan, Voice Log, reminders) may not work without them.

We may share information with:

• Service providers (hosting, analytics, AI processing, authentication, nutrition databases)
• App stores for subscription validation
• Authorities when required by law

We do not sell your personal information. Trusted providers that help us operate Caloriq are subject to confidentiality and security obligations.

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service and meet legal, security, and accounting requirements. You may request deletion of account-linked data subject to legal limits by contacting us.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Caloriq is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

• Update profile details and goals in the app
• Manage notification and reminder preferences
• Control camera, microphone, and photo permissions in device settings
• Contact us to access, correct, or delete account data where applicable

Caloriq processes information you provide about meals, body metrics, and goals to offer tracking and planning tools. The Service is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. See our Terms & Conditions for related disclaimers.

If you use the Service from outside the country where our servers operate, your information may be processed in other countries that may have different data-protection laws.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of the Service means you accept the updated policy.
